Central Park is a large public, urban park that occupies over a square mile in the heart of Manhattan in New York City. Central Park was opened in 1859, completed in 1873. The park appearance in many movies and television shows has made it famous. The park was designed by landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted and architect Calvert Vaux, who went on to collaborate on Brooklyn’s Prospect Park. Central Park has been a National Historic Landmark since 1963. Today it has become an attraction for bird watchers, here you can find 200 species of birds regularly.

Every evening beginning at dusk the Falls are lit in the colours of the rainbow – don’t miss the unmatched beauty of the Falls at night! The Falls are illuminated nightly until at least 10 p.m. January through April and until midnight the rest of the year. I was there at the end of June and took these lovely pictures at around 11.30 pm in the night. It was amazing and one of the best views i’ve ever seen and even today, if I close my eyes I can see the picture of the falls infront of my eyes.

meaning “the strait”. The Falls make a tremendous sound as the water goes over and lands at the bottom. I took this picture when i was riding on the boat from the American side of the Niagara falls. It turned out to be a lovely picture over all. One interesting fact that I found out is that twenty percent of the worlds freshwater lies in the Great Lakes, and most flows over Niagara Falls. Interesting Right??

The Niagara Falls are the waterfalls on the Niagara River, straddling the international border between the Canadian province of Ontario and the U.S. state of New York. Niagara Falls is composed of two major sections separated by Goat Island: Horseshoe Falls, the majority of which lies on the Canadian side of the border, and American Falls on the American side. The smaller Bridal Veil Falls are also located on the American side, separated from the main falls by Luna Island. The falls are 17 miles (27 km) north-northwest of Buffalo, New York and 75 miles (120 km) south-southeast of Toronto, Ontario, between the twin cities of Niagara Falls, Ontario, and Niagara Falls, New York.
